Your Giftnovo wallet holds your balance in a single currency (euros, by default), but that doesn't limit you to only trading offers or gift cards in that currency. Whenever something is priced in a different currency than your wallet, we convert it at the current exchange rate.
Why you sometimes see an "approximate" amount
If you're buying a gift card priced in dollars and your wallet is in euros, you'll see the total in dollars and, next to it in gray, the approximate equivalent in euros — so you know exactly how much will actually be deducted before you confirm. The same happens when selling: the payout is calculated in the offer's currency and converted to your wallet's currency the moment it's released.
Deposits and withdrawals
You can deposit and request withdrawals from your wallet at any time. For withdrawals above a certain amount, we'll ask for identity verification (KYC) — that's a standard security measure, not something specific to your account.
Changing your wallet's currency
If you'd rather operate in a different currency, you can change it from Account Settings → Profile, under Preferences. Your existing balance converts at the exchange rate at the moment of the change, not retroactively.
